Canon MG3600 stuck on 4x6

I was printing recently and the printer decided that 4x6 paper size was necessary. I cancelled this print since it was a standard 8.5 x 11 paper. But ever since then the printer is stuck on 4x6 printing, this is indicated on the top panel, it will not print a document. I have tried to change settings on the PC, pulled the plug for several days, doesnt work printer is still stuck on 4x6. Maybe reset printer back to factory default? Searching for "Canon MG3600 reset" says to hold the Stop button for 21 flashes. This does not do anything. What can I do about this, or is the printer now useless?

Thanks for joining the conversation, kmag59!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA MG3600 series.  The model number should appear on the front of the unit at the lower right corner. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hit Windows start/settings/printers and scanners choose your printer then printing preferences where you will find two tabs one is Quick setup, check the page size down in the right hand corner, change if necessary, then click  the Page Setup tab,  the page size is at the top of that menu, change there if necessary.

Physical paper size setting on the printer itself is overriding your PC commands. On the MG3600, you can usually toggle the paper size by pressing the Paper button on the operation panel until the light moves back to Letter/A4. For the exact button sequence and more troubleshooting, I recommend checking the Canon Support Knowledge Base.
