I have a 4800 series multi-function Canon that I use for a variety of duties- one I am trying to do is scan an image with a command from the PC. It doesn't to that unless I hit one of the buttons on the scanner, then it scans my image but I must cancel the button action.
How do I get my Canon to "wake up" and accept the comand from my pc?
(Windows 7)
Thanks!

Hi Quickfords.
The imageCLASS machines are designed so that the scanning option will need to be selected at the machine. There is no way to set a command option to automatically scan from the computer. [Remote Scanner] or [Computer] will need to be selected. This is to ensure that your device handles the scan project properly.
Although this may be an extra step to perform, the benefit of selecting the desired mode can ensure that a scanner miscommunication does not occur.
