I purchased a new Cannon LBP6000 printer.
It prints the same page over and over until I cancel the print job.
It gives a communication error of make sure the printer is turned on and the USB cord is connected.
I run a Dell computer with Windows 7 Home Edition.
The printer will work on my laptop wich is an old IBM with Windows XP.
I have tried support at Cannon and at a Windows & forum with no help to fix the problem.
I also have a Kodak printer that works fine on this computer.
Things tried:
Changed USB cords.
Run all different kinds of software fixes.
Remove and added current driver from Cannon.
TIA

Hi ES1.
I would like to ask a few questions, so that I can better assist you:
1. Are you using any kind of USB hub, or USB extender, between the printer and the computer?
2. Please open the [Devices and Printers] window and right-click on the LBP6000. Select [Printer Properties], and then click the [Ports] tab. Which port is the printer listed on?
I look forward to your reply. Should you need immediate assistance, please contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666).

No hub or extender.
As stated I have used 2 different usb cords with no sucess.
I used the same cord on my laptop and the printer worked.
The port is USB001 Virtual printer port for Cannon LBP6000/6018
