I have a MG5750 operating on Windows 10

 

When I print i get the following message:-

 

" cannot communicate with the printer. Turn Enable bi-dirctional support on in the printer's properties dialog box"

 

The item still prints without me doing this.

 

i then go and enable the bidirectional support and it solves the problem.    however if i then shut down the laptop, the next time I restart and do some printing i get the same problem.    The Printer settings dont seem to hold the setting

 

What am I doing wrong.

Please try reinstalling the printer driver of your PIXMA MG5720.  If you need assistance with this, it is recommended that you contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below:

Reloaded  Still get the problem
