I have a Canon PIXMA G7040 printer. After deep cleaning of the nozzles, a 5B00 error occurred, and the printer stopped printing. 5B00 means the waste ink absorber is full and needs to be replaced. The yellow error indicator blinked for 7 times continuously.
There are no Canon service centers in the area where I live. I eliminated the error using a special service program. The yellow indicator is no longer blinking, but the main problem has not been solved yet. I bought a spare part, ABSORBER KIT (QY5-0647-000000), and must install it in the printer now.
Are there any manuals or videos on how to install the ABSORBER KIT?

Greetings,
You've been very resourceful,. Unfortunately I don't believe the ink absorber is a user replaceable part. The software you used to reset the pad percentage / ink counter is proprietary and not distributed to the public.
You can try contacting Canon Support. I don't believe documentation for this service is available to the public.
