Canon PIXA MG5700 printer could not scan and send output to my computer, either wirelessly or even if the computer was connected directly via USB port. Reloaded the printer software but found that the Conon IJ Scan Utility is not installed. I can still send documents wirelessly from the laptop to the printer without any issue.
Laptop is using Windows 10.

Hi phil01,
The IJ Scan Utility must be installed in order to scan with your PIXMA MG5720's operation panel.

2. In the Run window that appears, please type CONTROL and click OK.
3. Click on View devices and printers.
4. Right click the Canon MG5700 series printer and left click on Remove device.
5. Repeat until all MG5700's are removed.
6. Close the Printers window.

Thanks for joining the conversation, phil01!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA MG5700 series. The model number should appear on your printer's control panel near the ON button. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!

The Canon printer Model is MG5750. (PIXMA MG5750).
On the printer itself the Scan option only offers option to scan to local PC, but this again does not work even if I connect the laptop directly to the printer via the USB. (Screenshot below).
Scan Option on Printer Controls. ( only provides option to scan to local printer, and even this does not work when printer connected directly to a laptop via USB port).
The Printer Quick Menu on my desktop does not even have any options in the Scan category (screenshot below)
