6300 won't print text.

Two-year-old Pixma MG 6320 has stopped printing text.

Won't print text from either wifi connected computer.

Won't print text on Windows-generated printer test page, but will print Windows color logo at the top of the test page.

Printer print head test page has full color on all panels, including black and grey, but won't print the grid.

Prints images fine, including black sections of images.

If I create a pdf of a document it won't print the text of, it will print the pdf image just fine.

This same thing happened to my previous Canon 6320, but as it was a hand-me-down, I replaced it with a new one.

Hi dgr,

First, please make sure that the ink tanks are installed in the printer correctly and are in the correct order. The order from left to right is as follows:

CLI-221BK
CLI-221GY
CLI-221Y
PGI-220PGBK
CLI-221C
CLI-221M

Next, a test of the printer should be performed. This will tell us if the printer is working correctly. To do this, please load letter-sized paper in the PIXMA MG6320 and follow these steps:

1. Flick the HOME screen and then tap Setup.

2. Tap Maintenance.

3. Tap Print nozzle check pattern.

4. Tap Yes.

The Nozzle Check will print. Please compare your printout to the example that has been attached to the bottom of this post. If they differ, please perform a few printhead cleanings.

To perform cleanings, please follow these steps:

1. Flick the HOME screen and then tap Setup.

2. Tap Maintenance.

3. Tap Cleaning.

4. Tap Yes to clean the printhead

5. Tap Yes to print another Nozzle Check.
