macOS 15 sequoia - Image Transfer Utility 2 Freezes

Updated my iMac to macOS 15 and today find that Image Transfer Utility freezes with the classic 'spinning beachball' and have to restart my computer to clear ti. Previously I could connect and transfer images via wi-fi to my computer from my PowerShot SX740HS but not now. Does Canon have a fix for this?

Greetings de1950,

I do apologize but at the moment, Canon has not released a version of the Image Transfer Utility that is compatible with macOS Sequoia due to this being a recent operating system released by Apple.

We currently do not have a time frame of when the software may be available for macOS Sequoia, but I would recommend to occasionally check the software download page for the PowerShot SX740 HS camera where an update to the software for macOS Sequoia may be available to download once it is posted.

In the meantime, you may use a USB cable to transfer images to your Apple computer and use Apple's Image Capture application to download the photos from the camera.

Thanks, will do that. I have to say that for a major company Canon are not good at software development. I have owned a number of Canon cameras and printers over the years and never really been impressed by their software.
