Why doesn't the phone app have a Bluetooth intervalometer feature ?!

Guys, what is your opinion about this?

The camera app already has a shutter function, so why not an intervalometer as well, especially that some older bodies don't have a built in interv... feature.

Note: If canon ever wants to implement this, please make sure it can work in the background, so we can use our phones while having the camera taking the shots + having the ability to turn off the phone screen if we need to save battery.

What camera?

It is already in the R7.

though the R7 has that 999 limit

+ it would be super useful for older bodies for astro stuff or timelapses (with RAW photos)

"Older bodies" don't have bluetooth.

c mon man !! i am talking about cameras such as m series....

we shouldnt rely on third party apps for that

Why not?  Probably because Bluetooth is simply too slow.

I dont believe a command that says "hi camera, take a shoot" would need that much bandwidth.

+ u know there are already Bluetooth mice, headphone, remote controllers ...
