I have an R7 and an R6ii (if that matters). I am interested in cropping, stabilizing and doing basic picture and sound editing for videos I capture on a PC. Does this sub have any recommended software for this?
If budget is needed, let’s say I’d like to keep it under $500 unless there is a Really good reason to pay more.
Thanks in advance!

I've just recently transitioned away from Premiere Pro -- I really like it, but the reliability is atrocious.
So now I'm using Davinci Resolve. Resolve has a free version and a paid version. The free version won't handle 10-bit video, so that would be really limiting for your cameras.
However the full version -- Davinci Resolve Studio -- is $235, and that's a one-off payment, so well within your budget. I'd have to say I'm really happy with it so far. It's a bit weird that it hides your project file from you, but you get used to it. Other than that, no issues, except I find the dark user interface rather trying.
But you can always put your camera in 8-bit mode and try the free version, and if you like it, upgrade to Studio.

DaVinci Resolve has a free version of their editing software. It's powerful and there are many YouTube tutorials available.

Have you tried ClipChamp? It ain't no iMovie (Of course, iMovie ain't iMovie anymore) but it can do a lot.
