EOS R8 won't let firmware update proceed

Hi there, Iam having a bad time installing Firmware update: I can only choose "cancel" in stead of "OK"  Whats going wrong here? Tnx

Greetings,

Try pressing the quick control rocker on the back of the camera.  3 o'clock position.  If that doesn't work, use the main dial just behind the shutter button. One click to right.  Let us know if these help.

Do you mean touch screen won't allow you to touch and activate the OK button?

Is touchscreen turned off?

Since 1.4.0 appears I am assuming the .fir file is loaded on the card.

Touchscreen on all EOS cameras doesn't work when doing firmware updates at this point. See the reply from Rick below as you have to use the buttons / dials on the camera.
