Hi!
I am trying to update my firmware on my R5 and I am seeing where I should be getting a .FIR file, and mine keeps downloading as a .DMG file. I don't get any ZIP file or anything like the videos I am seeing when searching how to install or update firmware, any ideas?

.DMG is for OS X. Download the zip file here https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-r5-c#idreference%3dsoftware-drivers
Or easier, just run your Canon Connect app and it will download the firmware for you.

How do you know they aren't on a Mac?

Well, the app will solve it anyway if that is installed.
