One file crashing DPP

Lundavra

I have used DPP for a long time, my last version was 4.7.21.0

Yesterday it crashed every time I selected one folder.  Other folders were OK.

I tried unsuccessfully to update so uninstalled and imstalled 4.3.31.0 because I still had the installation file on my PC. This does exactly the same.  One file in the folder shows a grey box in the preview before crashing.  Looks OK when I opened the file with other software.

I moved that file to a new folder and the original folder now displays OK but the folder crashed DPP.

I was going to attach the file here but it is nearly 10MB

Greetings,

It might be helpful if you can tell us what operating system you are running, Version and build, please.

Is there any reason you are running such old versions of DPP?  v4.16.11 is available.

Windows download is here:

https://pdisp01.c-wss.com/gdl/WWUFORedirectSerialTarget.do?id=NGE4MjFmNWRk&cmp=ABR&lang=EN

MAC Here:

These will not resolve the corruption problem you have with your image or file system, so you will need to resolve this first.  If you want us to look at the file, you can post it to a file sharing site, Box, One Drive, Drop Box, Google Drive, etc and post a link for us here.

You've don't a great job describing your problem, but we will need more information if we are going to try to help.

DPP often has problems with files that have been edited in other software. You have isolated the problem; you can’t use DPP to edit that file.

Thanks I used the link to upgrade to 4.16.11.0 and seems to be behaving OK now.
