Thanks John!

I just updated and I noticed that the performance has increased a bit in some areas which is nice.  Digital lens optimizer takes less than a second now and switching between the main exposure etc. window and the cropping window is faster now also; that was one part of the prior DPP that took several seconds before you could edit when using CR3 files.  Conversion from RAW to JPG appears about the same, not horrible but it takes 10-15 seconds for .CR3 to JPG while .CR2 to JPG is between 2 and 3 seconds.

It still doesn't meaningfully utilize GPU capability and CPU loading with my workstation never exceeds 12% with .CR3 files and generally stays around 2 to 3% so it is still a long way from fully utilizing system resources on larger systems.  Maybe those 2026 updates will provide some real improvements in that department which are far more important than distracting notifications.
