Dear sir/madam,

I am using Canon R6 from last few years. I cannot update the firmware after 1.6.0. I tried installing 1.6.0 to 1.7.0 and it failed at the end stage of installation. I have downloaded 1.8.1 and 1.8.2 as well. But cannot proceed for unbaling to install 1.7.0, despite following the instructions.

Please help.

Have you done a previous update of the firmware yourself, or is this the first time?
What method are you using to do the download and unpacking, and if using a computer to download and unpack, what operating system please?

When you unpack the downloaded file are you placing the file with suffix .fir in the root directory of your card?
