I have a Canon Rebel T1i and just got a Macbook Air running Sonoma v14...I cannot find my original discs and want to download the utility so I can transfer photos from the camera to the Macbook. Any suggestions?

The imagecapture app that comes with macOS will transfer photos from my Rebel T1i to my iMac over a USB cable. I use the built in card reader on my iMac to transfer photos.

I have not been able to get photobooth to work with myRebel T1i.

Gphoto2 works for remote control of the camera on Linux, but I have not tried it on macOS.

If all you want to do is transfer images, you can get a card reader that connects via USB. If your Macbook Air model has a built in SD card reader, you can use that as well. Just take the card from the camera and pop it in the reader. It should show on your system as a drive.
