EOS Utility doesn't have a "Pairing over Wi-Fi/LAN" button

Hi,

I just bought a new R8 and I'm trying to connect it to my Mac using EOS utility 3.18.41.

The problem I have is that I don't see the button 'pairing over Wi-Fi/LAN' on the app.

I tried on a windows computer with EOS utility 3.18.40 and it works great.

I guess is a bug in the app or I need to make some changes on macOS settings. Can someone help me?

Thank you!

Finally found it...
Go to finder > Applications > Canon Utilities folder > Eos Utility
From there you open EOS Utility. ( not the eu3 as jrhoffman75 said ). After connecting, the system will open automatically the EOS utility 3 app.

Case solved.
Maybe the canon developers will try to make this process easier in the future... Like putting the right icon/app shortcut on launchpad.

Are you selecting the app icon that just says EU?

Yes exactly.

Your screenshot shows the EU3 app, not the EU app.

But which one?

Look at my screen shot. Open the EOS Utility folder and select the icon that says EU.

well.... according to cannon Europe and cannon US, they provide for this model only 'EOS Utility 3'.

Can you help me with a link from where I can download something else?

LE: I think either is a problem with my macOS settings or is a bug in the app since the windows version of eos utility 3 is working.

I can't offer anything else. I have the EU app in the folder I showed. EU3 is in a separate folder called EU3.

You could try calling Canon support.

Glad you finally got it right. I repeatedly told you not to be opening the EOSU3 folder and app; when you finally followed that direction everything worked.
