I have two R 10's. I connected them to my identical computers via USB cable. Both worked fine. Until one stopped. Both cameras work well with one computer. On the other, neither camera will connect to EOS Utility via USB cable . Both connect via WIFI. The computer recognizes the cameras. The Utility program does not. I have traded cables. Changed USB ports. And I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Utility software. I have run out of ideas.

Greetings orsun6,
I am sorry to hear that one of your two EOS R10 cameras is not working well, and we appreciate the thorough description you have provided regarding the troubleshooting steps you have taken. Per your description, it appears that there may be a possible issue with the USB port of the camera itself since you have swapped cables and the other camera appears to be working well.
We would suggest on sending the EOS R10 camera to our facility for repair.
Items purchased directly from Canon USA or from an Authorized Canon Dealer do include a one-year warranty if the item was purchased less than a year ago. You may view a list of Authorized Canon Dealers by clicking on the following link. I would recommend including a copy of your Proof of Purchase when sending in your item for the facility to review for any in-warranty service or repair.

Since the camera works fine on the other computer I don't think it is the camera. And since the computer recognizes the camera for other programs I think it must be the Utility software. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail.

“ Since the camera works fine on the other computer I don't think it is the camera. And since the computer recognizes the camera for other programs I think it must be the Utility software. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail. “
The camera can communicate with only one app at a time. Only one of the apps can be running, because one app can block the others from accessing the camera.
