EOS 5D Mark III Camara not pairing with Ortery Photobench 100 through iMac 2021 Sonoma

Our iMac 2021 recently went through an update to Sonoma. When it updated last time, our EOS 5D Mark III would not connect to our Ortery 2d Photobench 100, when we spoke to Ortery we simply had to download a driver from this link https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-5d-mark-iii However, the only option this time is for a webcam, which is useless to our business. Apple and Ortery have all pointed to Canon needing the driver to get things working. This is a work issue and we need a solution as soon as possible to do our job. We also learned that this is not a just us problem and that others are having the same problem. We're hoping Canon has a solution at any point in time as soon as possible.

Greetings,

Maybe you can help us understand what you believe Canon needs to supply for your lightbox product?

Canon does not provide drivers for 3rd party products.  They never have.  You are welcome to select earlier versions of MAC OS from the drop down and you will see there are no drivers for 3rd party products like the Orterey 2d Photobench.  Canon does offer its own applications for image editing. Live view shooting,  transferring photos and webcam application, but again, nothing for your product.  I am not a Canon employee, but have a fair amount of experience with their products and software applications.  Please feel free to provide the name of the software you downloaded previously that resolved your issue.  I would like to know what it was and how it was used?  If you are referring to the EOS Utility which is a Canon Application, it does not claim to provide any function for the Orterey 2d Photobench.  I'm not sure why Apple or Ortery would tell you Canon needs to provide software for a product or operating system they did not develop or manufacture.  Happy to revisit if you find something to the contrary.  Also welcome others comments.

Unfortunately, the earlier versions for the mac EOS utility drivers do not work with Sonoma. Last time this occured, we simply had to download a EOS Utility driver for digital photography or something like that. The only option for Sonoma is for a webcam which is useless for our job. I spoke to tech support and they say more EOS utilities will be available, but that they have no idea when.

The version of EOSU that can be downloaded from the Ventura site very definitely works with Sonoma 14.4.

Not in the way that helps it connect to our ortery again. We use our mac to connect the two products together and we need a digital photography Utility, not a webcam.

Can you point to the driver that you say you used before Sonoma?

It was one of the recommended ones from this link, not the webcam obviously.

Try this:

1. go into your Applications->Canon Utilities folder and delete the EOS Utility folder.

2. download EOS Utility 3.16.10 from the Ventura site.

3. Install that software.

4. Go into the EOSU Utility folder. then the EU3 folder and directly run EOS Utility 3.

Will this work for a Sonoma computer?
