Hi there,
I have Canon 1dx mark iii and I use also blackmagic video assist to record my video's but since then I can just record 1080p however my camera can shoot 5.8k, but the hdmi output in this camera support just 1080 or auto but o auto mode happend nothing and keep shooting in 1080 , is there any solution to shoot in 4k or make the hdmi output support 4k?
thanks in advance,

thanks for your replay, this is unfortunately something that not really clear, because when I connect it to the blackmagic video assist 4k, I just get 1080p, I was thinking: has this something to do with hdmi cable ,so I need to have cable support 4k ?
or do I need to buy mini converter hdmi to sdi from blackmagic?!

I don't know the answer to that. You should call Canon support since no one else has responded.
This is from the video White Paper.
