Can DPP4 read xmp ratings from side car files ?

Hiya. I'm trying to use DPP4 in my workflow and am using a separate asset manager to rate and catalogue files. It stores ratings in a sidecar file which DPP4 doesn't seem to be seeing.

Can DPP4 read ratings in sidecar files ? Or should I be thinking about this problem a different way ?

I would doubt DPP can or would read a file that it did not create.  If the rating were included in the EXIF data would be different.  I think what you really need is the Adobe PS/LR package for photographers, which would include Adobe Camera RAW.

DPP has it’s own rating module. You might want to look into using that.  DPP will not read sidecar files
