CameraConnect login issue

Alexismmel

My CameraConnect app was working perfectly before it automatically updated. I scrolled down and agreed to the new terms and conditions and when I tried to login I kept getting stuck at the page where you hit “next” to complete the login. I tried logging in via email and password, google sign in, apple sign in and I tried creating an account through those methods as well. Every time I got stuck on the next function where it just would click or load to the next page. I also tried on and off WiFi in differing locations. Assuming this is a technical error on cannons side but looking for suggestions!

Greetings,

A couple of users mentioned this recently.  I'm running Android 15 on a Pixel 8.  After my app updated, I agreed to the terms and logged right in using my CanonID.  I haven't found a way to reproduce the issue.

A colleague of mine suggested disabling VPN if you are using a client on your phone or mobile device.

I’m having the same issue.

I get to the screen to reset the password (i know what my password has ALWAYS been, but it wont recognize it, so i tried resetting the password.) Once I click “continue” i get an error message.   I’m not sure when it stopped working, but i was able to use the app where ever i went until i tried last week….

Were you able to resolve your issue?  If so, which steps did you take?

thanks

mikewinburn,

Starting back in Aptil, you need a separate Canon ID to connect your products to Canon like Camera Connect. This is seperate from your Canon Account, where you go to register your products.

This page explains it.
