RF 100-500 collar and foot slipping around the lens

Is there a fix for the rf 100-500 lens collar and foot slipping around the lens when in use?

Folks have added a strip of gaffer tape inside the collar.

I was looking at the Really Right Stuff replacement which is arca compatible and seems like a good alternative  but is mighty expensive.

It is expensive but so was your RF100-500mm. A lot of people are using this collar because it arca compatible and it's solid. Small price to pay for piece of mind and not having to worry about your current collar failing.
