I bought a good off Amazon, a LH-60 that is supposed to be a replacement for the ET-60. Everywhere I read, the ET-60 hood is supposed to be what I need for this lens, but after trying a couple of Amazon, I can't get them to fit. When I look closely it doesn't appear the groves in the hood match up with my lens so maybe I need a different hood? I'm attaching a pic of my lens so help. I buy through Amazon because the return policy is much easier to deal with them elsewhere but if I need to go somewhere else then I will. Thx

dlonskey,
Try the ET-63 hood from B&H Photo.
They run about $23.

Thanks Steve. I was wondering about that but didn't want to just try it without seeing what someone else said.

Hi Rick, I'm in Stockton so not really that close unless maybe if you're in Antioch-Concord area? It's going to be a bit before I could probably meet you so I'll probably just buy one and see if it works. If I had my motorcycle running than I'd be up for the ride but it's down plus my truck is having issues so needing to get work done on it. Appreciate the offer...thx

So the ET-63 hood definately worked better then the ET-60. Only complaint I have is that it's still a little "tricky" to get it lined up just right but even then, once it's on, it tends to loosen up the lens itself sometimes and will unscrew off with the hood still attached. Just when I think I have it figured out and just snapped in place, the hood will pop off so it's just finicky on how to screw it on. There isn't any kind of mark on this one that I've read on others that helps make sure you have it lined up so you have to just "feel for it". For the $10 I'm not going to fuss over it too much, but if it does become an issue, I'll probably need to spend the $20+ for a name brand hood. I've attached more pics...from what I can see, all is lined up.
