I've recently purchased the Canon R50 and I am trying to take self take portraits. I don't want to use the timer function as the burst of photos is too quick. I have tried using an intervelometer but it will not trigger camera. Is there another accessory I could use to take 10 photos at 2 second intervals. My knowledge of cameras is limited so please excuse me if this is a basic question.
Thanks in advance
Gary

The cable connections are more problematic via USB and the R50 seems more friendly with a wireless remote solution. If it works can you please advise and if so, please mark the suggestion as a solution so others can find it if they have the same issue.
Thanks!

Hi Gary and welcome!
Well, one approach would be to get a device known as an intervalometer, which is designed to do precisely what you want. To learn about them, see: What Is An Intervalometer And Do I Need One? (digital-photography-school.com)
You might find this app to be useful and can be launched from your cell phone to the R50:
Intervalometer App for Canon DSLRs - Available for iOS/Android

Hi Trevor, thanks for your help. I've just downloaded that App, hopefully it will work. I've tried an intervelometer plugged into the USB C port but it won't trigger camera. Not sure if it's the adapter lead that I bought off amazon though.
