Canonuseriscool,
Generally, charging only takes about an hour.
I would say take it off your charger and let it cool down.
Are you using the charger that came with your camera?
If you didn't get one, your manual will give you the name and model number of the charger made for your camera.
It 's also possible that you have a bad battery.

Hi:
You leave a lot of detail out.
1. What is the camera you are using?
2. Is the battery a Canon one the came with the camera, a Canon-branded replacement, or a 3rd party one.
3. How is the camera being charged - via a separate charger, or through a USB connected to the camera?
PLEASE BE SPECIFIC or it makes it harder to help you.

Agree, the lack of details makes very hard to recommend anything but normally, if the battery is not charged after one or two hours something is wrong. Remove it from the charger and check it by put it in your camera. That will tell you if it has any charge or not.
