My original battery a BP-808i lost its capacity. I ordered a new original Canon BP-808i and the battery will not charge on the camcorder or communicate with the camcorder. I returned the battery and received a another new one and it does the same thing. I purchased a cheap non intelligent battery and it does charge on the camcorder although does not have the capability to communicate with the camcorder. I was wondering if the was a reset to solve this condition? I see in the manual the reset will put all the current camcorder settings back to default but does this have anything to do with the battery issue I am having?
Thanks..

Hi radiodude817!
Thanks for the post.
If the camcorder will not communicate with multiple different batteries, even new ones, the camcorder itself may need to be repaired. To start the repair process, you'll need to complete a Repair Request on our website.
