I have a ZR85 and I would like to transfer the video to my computer. How do I do this?

I have a ZR85 camcorder and I'd like to transfer the video to my computer. It came with a USB cord, but when I plug it into my computer nothing happens. Do I need to download software to do this? Or can someone explain how to do this? Thanks!

M series discontinued ?

I dont see any M series camcorders on the current line up on the Canon (usa) website. So are those discontinued ? They are available at many online retailers but is that the last of the M series ?

My touch panel on my HFG10 just stopped working. The camera still works fine but the only way I can change the settings is with the remote and I know its only a matter of time before I lose that. Any feedback would be appreciated thank you. Cheers
