I have a gig where the client needs mp4 files immediately after games. Is there a camcorder such as the g30 or xa25 that'll record unbroken mp4's? I had a G20 and the AVCHD workflow really flowed me down and took forever. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Buzzer535,
When a movie reaches 4 GB or 29 minutes, 59 seconds, whichever comes first, the camcorder will stop recording.
The file size is limited by the FAT32 (File Allocation Table, 32 bit) file system the camcorder uses. While this system allows you to transfer images and movies between multiple, and sometimes incompatible systems, it does restrict file sizes. I regret the difficulty this causes.

An expedient workaround would be to use the latest ffmpeg with the -f concat option to splice short mp4 files from the camcorder SDXC chip to the customer's media. https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Concatenate
