VIXIA HF R800 Color Space?

Atimwak

I have a VIXIA HF R800 which I use to shoot YouTube videos.

I use DaVinci Resolve 17 for my video editing.  They have a really cool "Color Space Transform" function I would like to use, but I cannot find any information on my camera to tell me what the color space it uses.

Does anyone know what color space the VIXIA HF R800 uses?

Yes, it's Rec709, but why would you want to transform to a different color space, out of interest ?

It's not specificed in the manual, but I'm almost positive it would be Rec 709.

If it were in a different color space other than Rec709 (which would be my desired output color space), it would be good to bring everything (other possible video/still sources as well) to a consistent place for a consistent look and feel.

Thank you for the information.  I will note this with this camera.

OK. In case you didn't know, Resolve converts inputs to a proprietary (DaVinci) YRGB 'color science' (by default) for 32-bit float processing. Powerful software.
