I have Canon Vixia HF R70 camcorder and a MacBook Pro. Need to use the camera in a meeting room. Is there a way to use the HDMI OUT on the R70 which is also connected now to an HDMI-to-Thunderbolt connector on the MacBook Pro? I think someone misinformed me that this was possible. Obviously need to have an app on the MacBook that can "receive" the feed from the R70 but I'm not sure what that would be. I'm a photography person and not a video/media person so I'm flying a bit blind and have used what I had to put this together. The camera is new and belongs to a group asking to do this and they may have to return it if this is not possible but I need to confirm this. Thanks
Any advice is appreciated.

Most HDMI-to-Thunderbolt connections only display to HDMI
and cannot be used for capturing HDMI video.
Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt
is one device for HDMI video capture via Thunderbolt.
Other HDMI video capture solutions use USB 3.0.
The Elgato Game Capture HD60 is popular and
typically less expensive than Blackmagic's device.
