What is the difference between the XA and XF models of camcorders

I want to buy a camera and I am looking at both the XA and XF models of Canon. Can anyone know the difference between them?

The differences can vary from minor to significant, depending upon which of the models you compare.  Generally, the XA models are more entry level compared to the XF models.  Some of the XF models have multiple sensors to improve IQ, while others do not.
