Canon xa11 greyed out selections

Im trying to do a timelapse on the xa11  camcorder but no matter what i try the frame rate and slow and fast motion selection is greyed out ive looked at a youtube video  Gus Da Costa it looks so simple but the two options i need are greyed  out  i can't select them please anyone

Slow/fast motion recording won't be available when any of the settings below are active:

- Dual recording

- Relay recording

- Pre-recording mode

- Video snapshot

- Color bars

- Face detection & tracking

Make sure those options are turned off, and then you should be able to select the menu option.

For best results, we recommend using a faster SDHC or SDXC card that is rated as Speed Class 10 when doing slow or fast recording.
