Canon xa-11 can’t get sound

Can’t get sound to my MacBook through black magic mini ultra studio recorder. Everything else works fine to OBS just not the sound

First, check to make sure that the HDMI port is active. You can go to FUNC - MENU - wrench icon and then OUTPUT TERMINAL and verify that the active output terminal is HDMI OUT.

If problems persist, please elaborate on your setup. Are you able to hear audio on your computer when you're not live-streaming with OBS? If you record audio on camera, are you able to hear it when you play back the clips on your computer?

it seems that all I had to do was shut down OBS and start it back up to get sound. Kinda strange but it’s working.
