My Canon Vixia HF200 has worked flawlessly for years until the AC/DC pin connection on the camera started to fail. Batteries work fine, but I need uninterrupted use for hours at a time.
Is there a 'fake battery' form-factor which would attach like a regular battery but is actually an AC power supply? It requires a DC output of 8.4 volts at 1.6 Amps. I'd even appreciate info on how to hack the faux battery adapter portion if the real thing is not manufactured already. Need a solution ASAP and can't justify buying a new camera or waiting after sending it in for 'surgery'. Thanks in advance for any workable ideas.

Joel_Ws,
At this time we do not have an AC adapter that powers the unit while it is plugged into the wall. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause you at this time.
