After hours of scanning I have a file with 103 pages, and My Image Garden cannot save it. There was no warning that there was a page limit until all that time was wasted. Is there any way to recover, or save just the first 99 pages? I am desperate.
The nozzle check is just fine, and text is just fine, but photos printed on the mx922 have no blacks. all the other colors are fine. The same photos printed to other printers are fine. It makes no difference what paper is selected.

I have two other printers, a Brother MFC-J825DW, and a Canon MG5320, which do not have this problem. I had this problem once before with the 5320, but it went away. I have changed the ink cartridge.
Thanks for the response. Photocopies are very good and have normal blacks. (photocopies of images) Documents are also good. I'm printing from Photoshop CC, but I also tested from Paint. Windows 10/64 Type of paper doesn't seem to matter.
