Ive formatted my SD card, taken out my battery AND sd card and its still blinking and im not sure what it means! help!

My Mac os x 10.6.8 will not recognize my Canon Rebel T5 when I plug it in. Please help!

I downloaded eos utility and i plugged in my camera rebel t5 and it is saying it cant recogonize my camera. Ive emailed canon numerous times with no resepnce and i need help! I have the mac os x version 10.6.8

I just got a canon rebel t5 and i was connecting my camera to my mac computer which is the mac os x version 10.6.8 and when i plugged my camera to the USB cord and into the computer its saying it doesnt regonize my camera... Im not sure as to what to...
