The video quality on my Rebel T5 1200D is really poor. How can I fix that?

I wanted to buy a camera to shoot videos, but I noticed the video is quite grainy when I tried to shoot.  I have a Rebel T5 1200D with a efs 11-55mm lens.  I'm not sure how to fix the picture quality.
