My EOS 5D is making stuttering noise when I try to take a picture.

Can anyone tell me if I need a new battery. MY camera makes a stuttering sound and freezes when I try to take a picture.

It ended up not being the battery or the camera. It was actually the lens. It kept searching to focus. Waiting to see how much it will cost to fix.Thank you for your input.RM
