I have a MX492, have aligned the heads, checked nozzles, etc. but the pictures are printing in pastel colors, not true colors. VERY disappointed. Is this correctible?

I am trying to take pictures of items that are purple and it shows up on camera as blue. Is there any way to adjust color truer. I am an artist and this is very important to me. Thank you for your help.
I also found the WPS button to be the LIGHTNING BOLT on my modem, after much **bleeping** around too. Why Canon doesn't just say this is beyond me, it would save a lot of frustration.
Thank you. Will try different light options as you suggest and adjust the white balance. Remember doing some of this with my old AE1 which I loved. I'll let you know how I make out.
