I have 3 Canon cameras and I want to be able to use the software that came with each one. However the Canon software install program always loads the software to the same default folder. Is there a way aroound this?

Definitly an incompatibility between lens and camera. The lens was purchased for an EOS 3 years ago and that camera had no problem with this lens nor does my 20D. As long as I can remember to unmount the lens at the end of the day I'm OK.

My original post was about a specific lens(Tamron 28-300) that would drain my battery if I left it on the camera overnight with the camera turned off. I never leave GPS or wi-fi enabled.

Through my testing of my 6D with canon and Tamron lenses indicate that even with GPS and WIFI disabled, a non canon lense will cause serius battery drain with power off. For me a Tamron lense cause 70% battery drain in about 12 hrs. That's not accept...
