think I read in my 5D lll manual that if you set it to shoot at the normal highest shutter speeds 150/200 that it wouldnt let you use HSS...... might want to check if yours is the same
My 6d stays up for weeks and probably alot longer i just dont go that long between uses. so thats not normal. the only thing i know of is the gps that will drain it that quick.
