When I attach the grip to my camera everything looks black through the view finder. I've had vertical battery grips for other canon models and never run into this. Can anyone tell me what I may be missing?
Thanks to all who sent suggestions/comments. I am returning the grip and will conduct further research to make sure I'm shopping for the correct Canon grip and hopefully find a used one at a comfortable price.
Battery Grip BG-R10 is a new item. Listed to fit Canon EOS R5/R6/R5C. The batteries I'm using are Canon LP-E6P. So it is not an actual Canon battery grip. I assume I should return it and purchase a "Canon".
