PIXMA TR8620a All-In-One Top Load not working

Hi there. Scanning using the top load Auto-Document-Feeder does *not* work on my PIXMA TR8620a All-In-One. The sensor does "beep" when paper is loaded. It simply does not roll, no paper is pulled into the scanner bed - even a single sheet. Bought...
