Camera Bag Conundrum
I have a Canon EOS R7, a 100mm macro lens, an 18-150mm telephoto, a 100-400mm telephoto, a 50mm lens and now - a 200-800mm telephoto lens. My backpack camera bag has sufficed up until the LOOONG lens arrived, and I am debating w...
I have a Canon EOS R7 and have very recently received an RF 200mm-800mm lens which is right heavy. I do wildlife photography (where a tripod is useful when I know the habits of my creatures) and am looking for advice on a decent tripod with a quick ...
I was particularly iinterested in the new firmware update announcing a new Canon battery (LPE6P) which will allow in camera charging. Although I am pretty good at watching my battery levels (and I have multiple backups), I wanted to include in my co...
It has been a few months since I last updated my firmware, and of course, I don't recall how to do it but there is more to this issue than just that. Canon just send out EOS R7 Firmware Update, Version 1.6.0 [macOS]. My camera firmware loaded is Ver...

I am finding this to be true! Going through the “order it, get it, evaluate it, return it” phase right now. It is the Goldilocks Syndrome. Yes, i measured my stuff, evaluated what i really likely will haul based on my photo goals for that day, and...
I will have to spend a lot more time at the Y to handhold my 200-800mm! We live bear a river and a pond so i will be tripoding
i have a 100-400 i can handhold easily and wish i had waited as a 100-500 seems a better choice albeit sooo much pricier
Yep…i figured that out when i opened the box for the gimbal! Got the p50 which was what they recommended for the 200-800mm. Now i am looking at body plates as i do not always want to have the gimbal attached (or maybe i will - just thinking about w...
Yes…i am now faced with another big decision on quick release systems. Wimberly has a plate advertised for this lens at $100 on B&H….I do now own a Wimberly gimbal and my reason for buying a decent tripod and this gimbal is just to use the big lens....
