PIXMA MG3620 Unable to Print in Black and White or grayscale

Has anyone came up with a way to print in grayscale? I have a Canon MG3600. I noticed that if set to print grayscale, the print came out red. I know the black ink cartridge has sufficient ink. I don't print anything using color at all.
