I have the Canon EOS Rebel T8i, I want to use the camera to record with a third-party app, the app being OBS. The camera periodically shuts off after 5 minutes or so. I have the auto off option disabled but it still shuts off. How do I make it not sh...

I have the Canon EOS Rebel T8i, when I plug in an external monitor the screen on the camera goes off. I would like to have them both on, is this possible? I have gone through the settings and can't find it.
