I did some more testing and found with my EF 70-200mm 2.8L IS III USM lens, I can go less then the 1/1000 shutter speed and neck down my aperature from the max of 2.8 and still achieve 12 fps. I adjust down both to 1/640 and f4.0 and still got 12 f...

I figured it out. I thought I was in high speed mode but I was not. I was only getting the green H and not the green H+. Switch modes and I get 12 fps in RAW. Funny how you can overlook the obvious!!
