Well, it was working for about 10 minutes, then started power cycling on its own again. It must be something Cannon is trying to push to it over the network.
I can confirm this worked. Powered off my router and allowed the printer to cycle again and it came up to the normal menu. Turned the router back on and used the printer menu to reconnect.No idea if it will continue to work if it gets turned back off...
I find it hard to believe this is a hardware issue. There are multiple threads on both these Forums and Reddit now of people with MX490 and MX492 experiencing the same issue over the last couple of days.
Same issue here. The printer hadn't been used for a few days but started endlessly power cycling when trying to use it today. Have had no luck getting anything to display other than the cannon logo or an error code from pulling the ink cartridges.
