I recently received great advice from this forum on a wireless mic. Now I'm researching, looking for a shotgun-style external mic. My Canon Vixia HF R80 has the 3.5 port but nothing on top of the camera to support a mic; no mount. Is there an inexpensive shotgun mic that can be attached to the camera via a self adhesive strip maybe? Appreciate any help. I'll be recording nature videos in the woods and would like to increase quality audio.
